When you don’t need this
If the printer is under warranty and physically faulty, go back to the manufacturer first — no point paying me for something they will fix free.
What people ask.
It worked fine until an update. What changed?
Updates routinely break the connection rather than the printer, particularly the drivers and the network settings. It is almost always fixable and almost never a reason to buy a new printer.
Do I need a new printer?
Usually not, and I have no reason to tell you otherwise since I am not selling you one. Where a printer genuinely is finished — dead print head, discontinued ink — I will tell you before you spend money on cartridges for it.
