Computer help in Rainham.
Rainham sits at the southern end of my patch. Far enough that I tend to plan the visit rather than squeeze it in, which in practice just means calling earlier in the day gets you a better slot.
About twenty-five minutes. I come to you, you drop it in, or I collect and return — whichever suits.
What Rainham houses are like to work in.
A mix of older housing and newer development towards Beam Park. The newer builds tend to have decent internal wiring but the router still ends up wherever the installer left it; the older stock has the usual thick-wall problem. Both are solvable, and rarely by buying a bigger router.
What comes up most here
- Collections, because a return trip is worse for you than for me
- New-build setups where the broadband is fine but the placement is not
- General repairs where the machine is better off on the bench
The jobs I do most round here.
Collect & return
I come and get it, and bring it back working.
- Collection from your door at a time that suits
- The work done properly on the bench rather than rushed on a worktop
- Being told what I find before anything chargeable happens
PC diagnostic & repair
Find out what is actually wrong, then fix it.
- A full look at what the machine is actually doing, not a guess from the symptoms
- A written price before any work starts, and no work without your say-so
- The repair itself where it is a repair, and a straight answer where it is not
WiFi & network sorted
For WiFi that drops out or will not reach the back of the house.
- Finding out where the signal actually fails rather than guessing
- Telling apart the three different problems: weak signal, congestion, and a slow line
- Repositioning, mesh units or wiring — whichever the house actually needs

Asked a lot in Rainham.
Rainham is a fair way out — do you actually come here?
Yes, regularly. Call earlier in the day and same-day is usually doable; otherwise I will collect it and bring it back rather than have you drive over twice.
What does collection cost?
From £75 within about fifteen minutes of Harold Hill, and a bit more further out. Rainham is beyond that ring, so I will give you the exact figure on the phone rather than surprise you.
I also cover these.
In Rainham and stuck?
About twenty-five minutes. Tell me what it's doing and I'll tell you what it needs — before anything is booked.

I answer everything myself, usually the same day. Leave a phone number or an email — whichever suits you.
