Is half an hour really long enough?
For one focused question, usually yes. For "teach me AI", no — that is what the three-hour course is for, and I will tell you if that is what you actually need rather than sell you six sessions.
Can we do it over the phone?
Yes, though a screen share is far more useful if it is something you need shown rather than described.
